I wanted to show you a little bit about why we produced our summer checking out program.
For me, it was since of my students.
Over the years of teaching in my personal knowing center, parents would bring their kids to me that were behind in reading and spelling.

Sometimes they were simply a bit behind, in some cases they were way behind, and in some cases they were at grade level and just wanted to progress faster.
In some cases this was due to the fact that the trainees had learning difficulties like dyslexia and ADHD. Other times, this was merely since the instructors did not teach all of the specific skills required to check out.

The program does take some involvement from a parent for grades K-2, but for grades 3-8, most kids can do most activities in the program by themselves.
